Mahayuti will win 2024 Maharashtra polls, BJP will win in 2029, says Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Tuesday that he is confident that the NDA-led Mahayuti alliance would win the Maharashtra Assembly polls in 2024.
Addressing BJP workers in Mumbai, Shah said that he is, however, confident that the BJP would win the 2029 Assembly polls by itself.
He further said that the BJP would enforce Uniform Civil Code in Maharashtra if it wins the Assembly polls.
Shah said that Mumbai is a key battleground region where they can “teach a lesson” to the rival parties, hinting at the Shiv Sena (UBT).
He added that the party aims to secure over 50 per cent seats in Mumbai and Konkan regions in the upcoming elections.
Shah explained the party’s strategy to concentrate on booths to boost voting percentage. He also directed the local leaders to appoint ten workers for every polling booth. They should remain active from Dussehra (October 12) to the last day of campaigning, he said.
He reviewed the BJP’s preparedness in Mumbai, Thane and Konkan divisions ahead of the upcoming Assembly polls in the state.
Shah advised the party workers to iron out their differences before the Assembly elections.
“There are differences of opinion even in a family. If there is disappointment about an MLA or Member of Parliament, an amicable solution should be found so that voters remain with the party,” Shah was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, state BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule and BJP’s Mumbai unit head Ashish Shelar were also present during the meeting.
